Work has began in September, the biggest challenge was undoubtedly the recovery of the facade facing the lake, the most susceptible part to moisture, with the impossibility to recognize the original decoration.

We began with great patience, consolidating and reconstructing partially where needed, then resume them with natural colors pigments dispersed in lime water.

Then, under the plaster of the eardrum, we discovered the remains of the written "Albergo Ristorante Verbania." And we took it off. We found out this has been originally a hotel!

Working day after day on the same place, it is difficult to remember as it was before surgery: what a surprise to find a photograph of the building before the works and see it now!
Work continues, to arrive as soon as possible to remove the remaining scaffolding!
