One of the most important examples of Romanesque architecture in Italy, the Basilica of San Michele Maggiore, in Pavia, is a masterpiece.
Imperial church built in the first decades of the 12th century on a pre-existing Longobard one, the Basilica was the seat of the coronations of the emperors of the Italian Kingdom, in the period in which Pavia was its capital and here, among others, Emperor Frederick Barbarossa was crowned in 1155.

The ancient Mezzabarba palace, a noble eighteenth-century palace, has been the seat of the Municipality of Pavia since the unification of Italy, 1861 Built in XVIII century, in the recent years the building had gradually lost its beauty and delicacy due to the continuous and, often inopportune, maintenance interventions. Who could have imagined that, under the layers of acrylic color and paint, the soft and delicate late Baroque colors that had made this building a jewel in the city of Pavia could still be found?

Liberty Jewel in Luino
Conservation work have been started in Palazzo Verbania, a beautiful Liberty buiding in Luino, by Lake Maggiore, a work contracted by the Municipality, in a sub contract to the Edilgamma of Turin.
