The old bell back to the city

In recent days we have restored and carried to the Broletto, the old town hall in Pavia, one of the bells of the Civic Tower, which collapsed 25 years ago.

Here is an extract from a newspaper article:
"The bell collapsed to the ground in the tragedy of 1989. Since that day was located in the basement of the Visconti castle. The city administration has subjected the bronze artefact, which dates back to the sixteenth century, a maintenance check and cleaning of entrusting the work to the firm of REA by Alessandro Cini, authorized by the Superintendency. Aim of the City is to place the old bell in the courtyard of the Broletto, in the apse of the Renaissance Cathedral. Transport operations, however, are complex, primarily because this is a structure weight of 1,200 kilograms. Precisely for this reason the City has decided to entrust the same company that made the first restoration of the handling and transport."
